AGILE CEO: Our Expanded Multisite Capability Now Includes DC Metro Region

After a productive day last Thursday at AGILE’s newest facility, President and CEO Jeff Plank reflected on the exciting progress that the company is making as it expands to offer more solutions to customers across the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond.

The acquisition of an operations center, data center and PDNS, located in Silver Spring, Maryland, extends AGILE’s reach to include the Washington, DC metro region.  Plank and his team look forward to officially opening the new location with a ribbon-cutting event, featuring local dignitaries and business leaders.

Across its three facilities, AGILE now offers local IT infrastructure services combined with disaster recovery options well outside of each immediate region.

With the completion of fiber upgrades to connect AGILE’s facilities in Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Plank points out what now sets AGILE apart: “The big difference is access to 860 telecom carriers, public cloud providers and managed services providers at all three of our sites.”

AGILE customers now benefit from dedicated access powered by the AGILE Private Digital Network (PDN): “With 370 miles of interlinked fiber that is now fully inclusive of our DC region location, our opportunity to provide IT infrastructure and network solutions to more companies has grown significantly,” Plank adds.

Why choose hybrid over public cloud?

Many legacy applications and systems can’t be virtualized.  AGILE’s model allows customers to combine private cloud for mission critical applications and secure access to the public cloud, without touching the internet.

“We know that hybrid cloud is where it’s at – and we are now positioned to offer a full hybrid solution for companies with an added layer of network oversight: our proprietary monitoring tool that continuously watches the network and can spot vulnerabilities before problems occur,” Plank notes.

What’s next for this rapidly-growing network and data company?

“We are actively working on expansion to the Western US, with significant fiber assets in Arizona.”  Plank goes on to note that the team is committed to offering nationwide services and designs custom solutions for each customer.  “We pride ourselves on custom solutions, and welcome the opportunity to sit with companies that are considering their cloud computing options.  With our expertise, we can help each customer identify solutions that work and that are tailored to their needs and specifications. “
